Hmmm?

Hmmm…

Haven’t posted in a long time. Things have changed. Moved to Rochester. Been through a few situations and I’m back to church. I’ve been back to working at Panera for over 4 years now.

Sorry if I’m all over the place, just started writing this to get some thoughts out. I’m still a pretty passionate WWE fan. I’m actually watching WWE Crown Jewel 2019 as I’m writing.

I’m actually feeling bored. Like I don’t know what to do next. I always get to feeling this way this time of year. Especially when the weather is dreary rainy weather. Don’t know what to do next. Without work and church I got nothing! What’s next? I feel like I need a change. Need a hobby. Need more.

May add to this later….

Cars and Our Soul

So lets’ try this again. I tried to post something like this the other day, but the title showed up, but not the message. What up with that?

Anyways, the theme is “Cars and Our Soul”. Often times think about our car we think just put in gas and it’ll get us from here to there or check the oil, but we never think about what is going on underneath our cars till either car inspection time or it’s too late and something happens to our car. You could have a hole rotting in your crossbar/tie rod and not even know it!

I think the same goes for our souls. We pay attention to what we eat or drink or put on the outside, but we barely ever think about what we are feeding our souls ( aka: what type of movies or TV shows are you watching, what are looking up on the internet, or places that you are going)?

“The Eyes are the window to your soul”

― William Shakespeare

Garbage in, garbage out. If you are listening to filth, then it’ll eventually affect what do and the way you act in the future. What can you do now to make your future better and not go down the wrong path?Just a thought-provoking question. I think a preventative measure is to be careful what you feed your soul.

“O be careful little eyes what you see
O be careful little eyes what you see
There’s a Father up above
And He’s looking down in love
So, be careful little eyes what you see”

Psalm 139:23 – 24 (NIV)

“Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.”

Just Some Thoughts,

Jesus Calling

Three Iron Nails

Stay on the high road with Me. Many voices clamor for your attention, trying to divert you to another path. But I have called you to walk ever so closely with Me, soaking in My Presence, living in My Peace. This is My unique design for you, planned before the world began.

I have called each of My children to a different path, distinctly designed for that one. Do not let anyone convince you that his path is the only right way. And be careful not to extol your path as superior to another’s way. What I require of you is to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with Me—wherever I lead.

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:10

He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what…

Back in January one of my friends said “This year will be the year of change”. Little did I know how much my life would change this year. Now one of the changes is I left my previous church. I say that and I say this, I absolutely have no regrets going there and I still love the people there and still talk to some of them and that’s all I say about that.

Secondly, back in 2001, I believe (maybe earlier than that), I went to something called Soulfest, a 4 day music festival where I got volunteer and meet different artist. Ever since then I’ve wanted to go back. This past year, through volunteering I was able to go back there free of charge. I was also able to meet some new friends who were also volunteers. I also got to see and meet Mark (the lead singer of Casting Crowns), Eli (the lead singer of “The City Harmonic), and I also got to meet and talk to Peter Furler and Phil Joel (Peter is the former lead singer of the Newsboys and Phil Joel is a former guitarist of the same band). One of the things that blew me away was I also got to meet Dawn (the lead singer of Fireflight) and I told her, I said: “Thank-you for an awesome concert” and she turned around and said: “Well thank-you for serving!”. Totally blew me away. Also, I had the opportunity to help serve (usher) with some of my co-workers too during their candlelight service. Nothing like standing at the bottom of a Mountain and seeing thousands of people light there candles for God. Also, thank goodness I was there one night because one of the other changes that happened was I found out that my Great Aunt passed away. That night that I found out I was able to go over to something called the “Prayer Tent”. Now the unique thing about that was the staff for that tent wasn’t there, but through the kind hearted people that were there also seeking prayer I was able to get prayer over my family. I will never forget that. If you guys have the opportunity to go to Soulfest I highly recommend it. http://www.thesoulfest.com/

Another thing that happened this year is (long story short) is my car was down for 3 weeks. Durring the 3 weeks I was supplied with to and from work via the bus and friends so I wouldn’t have to miss work (note: co-workers: you are not only my co-workers, you are my friends). Thanks guys!!

And then there’s the Christmas season. I really don’t know how to put it in the appropriate words how greatful I am this year. I have been given many gifts this year by friends and family. Gift cards, cards, a t-shirt with Sheldon on it ( from the “Big Bang Theory” – Bazinga – I love that show =) ).

Tonight I was given an “Certificate Of Recognition: Associates Pick Award” at work. Thank-you guys. It is fun and a pleasure working with you guys =).

I don’t know how exactly how to end this. I thank God for for everything I’ve been through this year. Also, tanks to friends and family and the new church I now got to. Interested to see what is gonna happen in 2013.

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

This past month

So the past month has been interesting. Forgotten things I need to remember, been trying to do some inward work, improve my life a little, and my car has been in the shop for going on 2 weeks.

I don’t say that to wine it’s just where I’m at sometimes. That being said I am so thankful for my friends and family who have been very helpful in giving me rides (or offering) and giving me advice when needed.

Maybe God is trying to teach me to be patient and what areas that need pruning and a tune up in my life.

There’s a couple of things I’ve learned over the past couple of months. Point 1: Things are always the hardest before something positive goes on in your life.

Point 2: in regards to some situations “It is what it is”. You just gotta deal with it and move on.

Point 3: Sometimes you just gotta smile (even forcibly). Something I’ve been working. It helps you have a better outlook and on your day and people.

I really don’t know how to end this. I’m just a single 30 year old guy still trying to figure out this thing called life.
